Behavior and the class board

Recognize good choices, and keep a clear record of the rest.

Rostra Conduct brings together a classroom rewards board, merits and demerits, and the follow-up that comes with them. It is built around the rules in your own handbook rather than a system you have to adopt.

Start with Conduct

$300 a year on its own, for the whole school, or part of the Campus package. No other app is required. What it costs

  • Rewards students can earn

Every school handles behavior a little differently. Conduct adapts to your policies instead of asking you to change them.

A typical day with Conduct

How your team uses it throughout the day.

  1. 8:15 am

    The board goes up

The teacher opens the class board on the classroom display.

  2. 10:05 am

    In the hallway

A teacher records an entry from a phone in three taps.

  3. 1:15 pm

    A kind moment

A student helps a classmate. The teacher awards a point for kindness, and the class goal moves forward.

  4. 2:40 pm

    A threshold is reached

Rostra creates a follow-up task for a staff member to schedule. Nothing is assigned automatically.

  5. 3:30 pm

    Families are informed

Families receive the day’s news the same afternoon.

Features

Everything listed here is available today.

The class board

A tile for every student

Display the board in class and award a point with a single tap. The class sees each point as it is earned.

A shared class goal

Every point moves the class toward a goal the teacher chooses, such as extra recess or a class celebration.

Rewards students can earn

Students spend saved points on rewards your school sets, from line leader for a day to lunch with the principal.

Games for the whole class

A spin wheel, a class race and kindness bingo turn earned points into a moment the whole room shares.

Merits and demerits

Record an entry in seconds

Choose the student and the rule, and the entry is saved. Teachers can do it from a phone in the hallway.

Your own list of rules

Rostra starts with a sample list, and every entry can be renamed, reweighted or removed to match your handbook.

Merits that count

Merits offset demerits up to a limit you set, so good behavior is recognized without excusing serious incidents.

Notes without points

Add a note to a student record when a situation calls for context rather than a consequence.

Follow-up and communication

Thresholds you set

When a student reaches a threshold, Rostra creates a consequence for a staff member to schedule. Nothing happens automatically.

Consequences tracked to completion

Each consequence shows whether it was assigned, scheduled, served or excused, and who made the decision.

Periods that match your calendar

Totals reset by trimester, semester, quarter or a rolling window, following your school calendar.

Families informed the same day

Families can hear about good news and concerns on the day they happen, not at the end of the marking period.

A permanent record

Entries are never edited away. Corrections are added underneath, so the history stays complete.

What it does not do

Clear limits, so your school knows exactly what to expect.

  • Conduct never assigns a consequence on its own. It creates the task, and a staff member makes the decision.
  • It does not rank students against one another or publish a leaderboard of individual totals.
  • It stays off until your school turns it on, and it explains what it keeps and for how long before you do.
